Cookies Explanation

To the main cookies page with cut and pate JavaScript code to add the vistor selected background feature to your site.

We use cookies to:
1) Display for you how many times you have visited
2) Let you chose what color background you want to use.

"Cookies" are small text files stored on your computer by a web site. They can be used to display your favorite background, the scores for your favorite college team, news on the products you indicated you would like to hear about...

You can decide whether you want to accept cookies with most browsers. Using Netscape Navigator go to OPTIONS then NETWORK PREFERENCES then select PROTOCOLS then check PROMPT BEFORE ACCEPTING COOKIES. Then every time a cookie is going to be written to your computer you can decide whether you want it to be or not.

Cookies are stored on your computer so if you use more than one computer the reported number of visits represents your visits using the current computer not all your visits. Also it only shows visits since we started using cookies. The way we use cookies is tied to each page we use them one so the number of visits represents your visits to that page not the overall curiouscat.com site.. If you delete you cookie file the counter is reset at the beginning and if you decide not to accept the cookie (as explained above) those visits are not counted.

If you use Netscape Navigator you will have a cookies.txt file in the Netscape directory. If you use Internet Explorer, within the Windows operating environment, you can see all your cookie files by going to your c:/windows/cookies directory.
